There was a maintenance this morning that performed the usual duties.
We were joined by Lead Game Designer Keith Evans and Creative Director Terry Spier on the stream to talk about some of the awesome things they’ve been working on. To kick things off, we want to reiterate that there is no timed exclusivity for Last Stand or Update 1.6 and it will be available for everyone at the same time!
Update 1.6 will expand the Dark Zone North into zones 7, 8, and 9! We are super excited to have you explore these new areas and can’t wait to hear what you think! They bring a slightly different layout and you’ll quickly realize that there is a lot of space to explore inside and on top of buildings. Definitely check out the VOD of the stream for some sweet shots of a few areas and even more details!
We are happy to finally announce that Last Stand includes an organized PVP game mode! You can read about the full details in the latest Intelligence Annex or watch the above Twitch VOD to hear it directly from Terry and Keith!
We are preparing the upcoming PTS and don’t have an exact date just yet while we put together all the final touches.
We did our best to try to make it happen, but unfortunately there won’t be a PTS on consoles. We have more news regarding Update 1.6 and a few other features in a devblog that will be released very soon! Keep your eyes peeled on thedivisiongame.com/news!
With the announcement Last Stand as organized PVP, we’ve seen a lot of discussions surrounding cheating. As we’ve previously mentioned, we are purposely vague on what measure we take to combat them in order to provide as little information to those who are making these cheating tools. Rest assured that we continue to improve and work on creating a more fair experience for everyone. If you want to know how you can make us aware of a potential cheater, please check this thread.
Until next time!
